7am, Tuesday morning with coffees in hand we caught the train to London to visit this year’s Landscape Show at Battersea Park. The event is held across two days and is a great opportunity to meet people from around the country who are involved in all aspects of the industry. It’s a really important event for our industry and one we enjoy going to, lots of new products to see - this will be our third trip!

There was some fantastic exhibitors at the show and we came home with lots of inspiration for our future projects! The seminars and talks at the show were particularly valuable and really got us thinking about how we can improve as a practice as well as help the planet. - we were lucky enough to attend four on each day. A highlight was, the President of the Landscape Institute, Noel Farrah’s talk on place making, encouraging designers to improve existing spaces to build communities rather than creating new ones, and Egbert Roozen’s discussion about connecting European practitioners to develop nature based solutions for cities.

We were also lucky enough to meet the guys in the know from BALI (British Association of Landscape Industries) and The Society of Garden Designers, for some great tips on the application process. We have already started the process and are hoping to be registered members within the year! The event was the best yet and are looking forward to attending again next year- and potentially exhibiting in the future!
